Araby Leary
I grew up in New Jersey near New York City, then headed to the Midwest for my undergraduate years at Northwestern. Following several years in Washington, DC, I moved to the Bay Area, where I earned a master’s degree from Stanford and raised my daughter. From the 1970s onward, I built a diverse career—starting at a paper company in San Francisco and moving into magazine management across both coasts, with my longest and most fulfilling time at Sunset. I also worked for a digital library, a book company, and in direct mail marketing, holding 10 roles across seven companies and relocating 17 times along the way.
About a decade ago, I retired and made my final move to Park City to be closer to my daughter and her family, including my two teenage grandsons, who fully embrace Utah’s winter sports and mountain biking. Before COVID, I worked at Deer Valley and became deeply involved with Park City Newcomers, eventually serving as president—a role that brought lasting friendships and meaningful volunteer opportunities. Today, I’m proud to contribute as a board member of the Friends of the Summit County Library. I’m grateful to be part of such a dedicated community.
Secretary
TreasurerGauri Mohan
Gauri Mohan has over 20 years experience as Vice President at various investment banks in New York. She managed IT teams for Equities Trading and Fixed Income desks. Prior to working on Wall Street, she was a professor for the Computer Science Department at the College of Staten Island, NY after she completed her Masters degree in Computer Science. Gauri and her husband moved to Park City in 2004. As an avid reader, she got her library card immediately. Unfortunately, as an IT consultant, she had to travel out of state to client sites for her projects and could not participate regularly in library sponsored clubs and events. Since her retirement Gauri has been active in the community. She has volunteered for the Sundance Film Festival for 15 years, helped tabulate and analyze data for Connect Summit County, a non-profit which promoted Mental Health Awareness and volunteers at PC Hospital.
Gauri enjoys crocheting baby blankets, gardening, concocting new recipes, learning about US foreign policy and traveling. She circumnavigated the globe during a 13 month long trip around the world. Gauri has experience in managing budgets and with her knowledge from working at major investment banks, she will help FOL achieve its goal through sound fiscal oversight and ethical stewardship.

My husband and I had a business on Main Street, and I was a member of the Park City Planning Commission in the 80s and early 90s. I raised 3 sons who were active in school activities and sports in the Park City School District. I have one grandson who attends Ecker Hill Middle School.
Career: Educator for over 35 years: Elementary, Junior High and High School Teacher, Educational Consultant, Middle School Principal, University Adjunct Professor, Special Education Teacher of Severely Autistic and Disabled Students. Currently retired but continue to be active in the community: member of Hideout’s Town Council, member of the Park City Senior Center Board, serve on the Summit County Friends of the Library Board, past president of The Greater Park City Newcomers and still active on their board.
I love traveling and have visited all seven continents and over 60 countries.
Tracy Lehfeldt
My mother passed on her lifelong love of reading and libraries to me. We still exchange book recommendations and make frequent use of our local libraries. So it is an honor for me to serve on the Summit County Friends of the Library Board and give back a little to an institution I have appreciated from my earliest memories.
Libraries enrich communities and enrich and educate the lives of those who use them, and I am grateful to have access to wonderful libraries in every community in which I have lived. In addition to reading I love hiking, skiing, and making art and have been a full-time resident of Summit County for the past 5 years.
Mel Rockhil
My name is Melanie Rockhill. As a long-time Park City local and native Utahn, giving back to my community has always been important to me. After retiring from my insurance practice and raising my three daughters, I finally found the time to do just that! As an avid reader — even more so since retiring — joining the Friends of the Library has been the perfect way to fulfill that goal.
When I’m not lost in a good book, you can find me on the tennis court, cross-country skiing, spending time with my grandchildren, or tending to my property in Woodland. I joined the Friends of the Library two years ago as part of the Community Engagement team.
Happy reading!
